If this sounds familiar

You've read the ADHD posts and thought "that's me," then talked yourself out of it because you have a degree and a job. You've been treated for anxiety or depression and it half-worked. You run on deadlines and adrenaline, then crash. You lose keys, lose time, lose the thread in a meeting, and cover for it so well nobody notices but you.

I did all of that for years before I got the right diagnosis. I'm a psychiatric nurse practitioner, and I still missed it in myself.

What an evaluation with me looks like

60 minutes, on video or in Bend. We go through your history from childhood forward, because ADHD doesn't start at 35. We separate ADHD from anxiety, trauma, sleep problems and medical issues that can look like it. If you've carried a diagnosis that never fit, we look at that too.

You leave with a plan. If it's ADHD, we talk through medication and non-medication options honestly, what each does and doesn't address. If it isn't ADHD, you leave knowing what it is instead.

Follow-ups are 30 minutes by video. Adjustments, side effects, and the strategies that fill the gaps medication leaves.

Medication, plainly

I prescribe carefully. That means a full evaluation first, regular check-ins, and the monitoring Oregon requires. There are several medication paths for ADHD, and we choose together based on your health, your history and your preferences.

Insurance and cost

In-network with Regence BCBS, UnitedHealthcare (Optum), Aetna, Cigna and Providence Health Plan. Self-pay is $375 for the evaluation and $250 for follow-ups. Superbills available for other plans.

Where in Oregon

Telehealth anywhere in the state: Portland, Eugene, Salem, Corvallis, Medford, Hood River and the coast. In-person at 205 SE Davis Ave, Suite A, Bend, OR 97702.

Common questions

Do I need testing first? No. A clinical evaluation by a psychiatric provider is the standard for diagnosing adult ADHD. Formal testing is sometimes useful but rarely required.

I was diagnosed as a kid. Do I need another evaluation? Usually a shorter one. Bring any old records you have.

How fast can I be seen? Most new patients within two weeks.
